Refund Policy

This is a template for launch, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a lawyer and replace the bracketed placeholders before going live. The full text is currently available in English only.

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work both for your Tuqui.store subscription and for products bought from a creator’s storefront. Because [Company Legal Name] is not the merchant of record for product sales, these are two separate things.

Subscription fees

Subscription fees you pay us for a paid plan are non-refundable, except where required by law or in the following cases: a duplicate charge, a proven billing error on our side, or another exception we approve at our discretion.

When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and then moves to the free plan. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a period.

Products bought from a creator

Purchases of digital products are made directly from the creator, whose own payment account processes the payment — a Stripe account or, for creators selling in Argentine pesos, a MercadoPago account. The creator is the merchant of record and sets and manages the refund terms for their products.

If you bought a product and want a refund, contact the creator you purchased from. Refunds for products are issued by the creator through whichever processor took the payment, Stripe or MercadoPago, back to your original payment method, and may take a few business days to appear.

When we may step in

We generally do not intervene in refunds between a creator and their customers. We may act in exceptional cases — for example suspected fraud, abuse, or violations of our policies — and our automated risk controls may suspend a creator’s selling ability when dispute rates are too high. This does not make us the merchant of record or a party to the sale.

Chargebacks

If you file a payment dispute (chargeback) with your bank or card issuer, or a claim with MercadoPago, it is handled through whichever processor took the payment — Stripe or MercadoPago — against the creator’s account there, not against us. We encourage buyers to contact the creator first, as most issues can be resolved directly.
